Over the past 60 days the lithium sector has quietly seen over $13.5 Billion in M&A rumblings as Global players jockey to reduce their dependence on foreign lithium and battery component players. Despite a subdued commodity price lithium has continued to show outsized returns for investors that pick their spots in established players with strategically positioned portfolios of lithium projects. Recent M&A events include:
- Rio Tinto clears final hurdles for $6.7B Arcadium Lithium buy (i)
- Zijin in talks to buy $6.4 billion China lithium miner (ii)
- Sayona Mining, Piedmont agree to create $623 million lithium miner (iii)
- Lithium Chile Enters Binding LOI To Sell Arizaro For C$250 Million (iv)

It would appear that major lithium development companies are taking the advice of one of the World's greatest investors Mr. Warren Buffett who famously said “Be fearful when others are greedy, be greedy when others are fearful.” Majors are on an acquisition spree acquiring lithium projects while the commodity price is down from its recent all-time-high.
Introducing American Salars Lithium Inc. (OTC:USLIF) (CSE:USLI)
American Salars today announced the acquisition of an 18,000 hectare lithium and Rare Earth Elements project in Brazil with sampling up to 3.72% lithium. Brazil is one of the largest lithium producing regions in the World (v).
American Salars CEO & Director R. Nick Horsley states, “We continue to add highly prospective assets to our portfolio of lithium projects in North and South America. Brazil has been one of the global epicenters for lithium production and American Salars' Jaguaribe project is located in a known pegmatite district and contains high-grade lithium samples and significant Rare Earth Elements values. We will plan a much more significant exploration program to mар pegmatites and further sample and define the geological values in this critical mineral rich area."

American Salars (OTC:USLIF) (CSE:USLI) has quietly assembled a portfolio of lithium, REE and critical mineral projects with its focus being on Argentinian Lithium Salar projects where the company has two established lithium deposits.
- Pocitos Lithium Brine Project – 760,000 Tonnes Lithium Carbonate Equivalent Mineral Resource Estimate (vi)

WSP Engineering completed a 2023 NI 43-101 Mineral Resource Estimate (“MRE") which in combination with the neighbouring block “Pocitos 2” a 532 hectare block
contained a lithium carbonate equivalent (“LCE”) inferred resource of 760,000 tonnes* Ice. All of the drilling to date occurred on American Salars Pocitos 1 block however the mineral resource estimate will need to be updated to reflect what is contained on the Pocitos 1 Block.
- Candela 2 Lithium Project (Argentina) 457,000 Tonnes Inferred Lithium Carbonate Equivalent Mineral Resource Estimate. (vii)

- Blackrock Lithium Project (Nevada, USA) – High Value Lithium Brine Target in the Number one mining jurisdiction on the planet. (viii)

- A portfolio of highly prospective lithium and REE projects in Quebec, Canada
And now today's update, the acquisition of 18,000+ hectares in Brazil.
All for a sub $5.0 Million Market Cap.
With Lithium now trading at approximately USD $10,500 per tonne, this small lesser known company American Salars Lithium Inc. (OTC:USLIF) (CSE:USLI) has assembled an expandable portfolio with literal billions of dollars worth of “in-situ” lithium (In-situ means in the ground) estimated by World Class Engineering firms.
